The Flatiron Kitchen and Bar concept grew out of what we felt was missing in the Premium-Casual marketplace in western Canada – a casual dining experience with mind-blowing food. Seems pretty simple right? Whether in the mood to lunch, dine, drink, or party, expect the unexpected at Flatiron – we don’t do conventional. Take a load off in our comfy seats, groove to our funky mix of todays hottest hits and timeless classics, pick your poison from our list of signature cocktails and enjoy a selection from the exciting fresh cuisine on the Flatiron menu.
Our Name Has Meaning
Most people think that our name was inspired by the Flatiron steak. Although we do grill a mean Flatiron, the name came from a funny, triangular shaped building in Manhattan, NY. Completed in 1902 – the Flatiron building at 22 stories was one of New York’s first sky-scrapers. In a time where buildings were all square, the Flatiron building broke the mold with its wild shape and fabulous architecture. We like to think we have a lot in common with the Flatiron building. In a sea of ‘just like the other guy’ restaurants – Flatiron Kitchen and Bar stands out from the crowd.
